on a moody June 13th Clams Casino appeared at the Red Rocks to deliver a dynamic & rare set.
Mike Volpe, known professionally as Clams Casino, echoed throughout the historic Colorado amphitheater Thursday June 13th. on this day Clams performed alongside San Holo, Shallou, Chet Porter, Taska Black, Duskus & Eastghost. with an ability to stand out entirely, Clams was able to transition the audience with all originally produced tracks featuring vocal collaborations with artists like A$AP Rocky (hmm we actually think he opened his set with an unreleased track feat. Flacko), Lil B, and late rapper Lil Peep into more familiar hypnotic gems like “I am God” and “Drowning”.
Just when you thought it couldn’t hit you harder, we witnessed the phenomenal sight of lightening striking in the distant horizon as 4 Gold Chains (feat Lil Peep) echoed throughout this monolithic structure.
the Red Rocks Amphitheater is an open-air amphitheater built into a rock structure near Morrison Colorado, 10 miles west of Denver. this structure took over 200 million years to form and is the only naturally-occuring, acoustically “perfect” amphitheater in the world. this stage has featured countless artists like The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Earth Wind & Fire, Flume, and truly tons more over recent years.
Clams Casino is in the process of releasing a new album and sources point that it’ll surface soon. check back for the latest on this, we’ll try and deliver timely information about any upcoming music/releases.
